On the 5th October 2016, the Interreg Europe Funding Programme announced the approved projects from second call for proposals. The Interreg Europe monitoring committee has conditionally approved 66 projects out of 211 applications. The EIfI-Tech will be part of the approved project VIOLET, which will improve regional public policy to enhance energy efficiency in traditional buildings, by addressing low carbon and cultural preserving actions.
The project VIOLET – “preserVe tradItiOnal buiLdings through Energy reducTion” pursues the specific objective “Improving low-carbon economy policies” and addresses a common challenge among EU regions, home to a building stock of important traditional buildings. VIOLET wants to create a building culture that is sympathetic to modern requirements of reinstatement and conservation for improved energy usage and reduced carbon emissions without endangering the architectural heritage.
In a Duration of 5 years and together with the lead partner South-East Regional Development Agency, Romania and other partners from Cyprus, Spain, Netherlands and France, the EIfI-Tech will realise this new Interreg Europe project. The EIfI-Tech will be an advisory partner and responsible for the communication management of the project.
